Diet success is connected to your action

It's largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.
You're not finished when you're defeated, you're only finished when you quit exercising and dieting.
The most important quality essential to your diet success is perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature.
You can have a fresh start any time you choose, for "failure" is not in the falling down, but in the staying down. Are you staying down?
It's not over until it's over.
If you've got the courage to stick it out, you'll attain your fitness goal.
Winning isn't everything. Wanting to win is everything.
P.S. I hope I gave you some insight into success to dieting. It is not about diet as many people believe or commercial wants to prove you others or about some magic pill, it is all about you wanting to transform your body and choose a healthy lifestyle.
You choose my friend and if you want to be a success story, success needs your ACTION.

Hi, I like your comments very much.
I am overweight and until recently I was not doing any exercise at all.
I work as a teacher so I get to walk during the day but not enough to help lose weight.
I quit smoking exactly two years ago, on January 01, 2006, and have not had a cigarrette eversince. I had been smoking for about 8 years. Needless to say I gained lots of weight right after I quit smoking. Trying to kill the urge to smoke, I was eating donuts and cookies and bread and tacos.
I decided to quit smoking when I turned 40, thinking that I wanted to be a healthy person for the rest of my life.
I started going hiking in 2006, went quite a few times to a beatiful mountain called Chipinque here in Monterrey, Mexico.
The street I live in has a lot of traffic and it is not very enticing for going walking.
I am about 5.7, my weight is about 236.5 lbs, and last december my wife and I decided to get a Treadmill, we looked around the different choices and, since they are definitely expensive and we are not precisely rich, I found a very nice semi-new treadmill, theradyne, 2.5 hp, with digital incline and speed for about 500. The treadmill is in great conditions and I started working on it right away.
It has been 15 days already. I am doing one hour everyday, 3.0 speed, 8 incline. I sweat a lot and I am enjoying it.
I am looking forward to some feedback since I am pretty new to all this. I have never done any real exercise in my life, and as I am working on the treadmill, I am also trying to eat less cookies, chocolates and sugar and fatty foods.
I just made a little plan where I work on the machine for one hour everyday. I already feel that my lungs are expanding as in the first days I was running out of breath by the first 20 minutes, and now I am beginning to feel very confortable with the routine. I goes fast and easy. I put a movie on my ipod touch and I just watch it until is over.
I don't expect quick results but I certainly look forward to become a success story.
I like your post very much, I am printing it and putting it in my desk. I motivates me. Thanks!
Hi jose
I am also overweight. Actually, I gained 20lbs in last one and half years. Actually, I was quite busy with my work and MBA.
Recently, I planned to loose that 20lbs. I have changed my food habbit a bit not to take much in dinner.
Few weeks back, I have purchased a home treadmill for about USD 500 (1.2 hp). I started using it for 20 minutes everyday morning in 3-6-3 speed. I feel great now. It gives me higer energy level in my work.
I am also planning to have a 15 minutes gentle walk before going to bed at night beside increasing time with treadmill.
Joe, this is good stuff and I will definitely link to your blog. I am not really new to working out, but I am attempting to get back on track again with my normal workout routine and documenting my progress at http://watchmeworkout.blogspot.com.
After completing a triathlon this past summer, I really slacked off on my workouts and I just turned 30 a week ago. The last thing I want to do is fall even further away from my ideal body.
I hope you have time to check it out.

Hi,
I've always had a diet problem so thanks for the blog about diet. I was hoping you could help me out.I was a NCAA All-American swimmer so i have a lot more muscle than the girls my size (5'1'' 115lbs)>I have no problem with my weight but the problem is I'm a size 0-2 and I still have a lot of excess fat. I really don't know what to do since I like my body I just don't like having extra fat and it's really confusing since I'm already small.
