Working with european bodybuilders

Right now Im working with few european talented bodybuilders on their diets. They are going to compete in few months. We got some great progress and I hope that my guys will win. I will keep you updated.
It is funny that european approach to diet and training is so different than here in the USA. For example before training they warm up for 20 min on treademill. They all do it without even thinking about it. I agree with this one too. I practise kickboxing and you have to warm up for at least 20 min if you want to stay injury free. I know that it works because I tried on my skin. I never had even one single injury and I lift pretty heavy.
They do not believe in all supplements we have here in the USA. I agree too, most of supplements are BS in my opinion. They rather stick with the real food and use just minimum supplements like multi vitamin, glutamine, protein shake and amino acids.
European bodybuilders believe big time in massage, they say to me that massage helps them get less sore and recover faster. I do not know about this one because Im really not into massage.
They get massage once per week and they believe big time in 15 min sauna after training and stretching while muscles are still warm. The principles are taken from the bikram yoga. They stretch while the body is in a heated room or immediately after sauna. Well I have to agree with this one too. I used to do that while I lived in Europe, because just everybody did it. After training you go to the sauna for 15 min and you will never feel so sore day after.
All I can say that I know that their approach works well. As you can see on the photo above: 23rd years old guy, all natural. Well done!

Rios Churrascaria New York

Last night I was at Rios Churrascaria for a dinner. It is one of my favorite restaurants in New York.
Rodizio offers a wide variety of different cuts of beef, pork, lamb, chicken and fish, which are slowly cooked on special grills to preserve all their natural juices and flavors. These tender morsels are then served continuously, brought to you on skewers and carved at your table. You can enjoy as much as you like, all for one fixed price. If you are on a diet and still want to enjoy the food, this is the place to be.

Use mind while you exercise

Exercise alone provides psychological and physical benefits. However, if you also adopt a strategy that engages your mind while you exercise, you can get a whole host of psychological benefits fairly quickly. --

NYC mayor puts new focus on nutrition in cafeterias

More than 53 percent of New Yorkers are overweight or obese — lower than the ballooning national 65 percent, but far too high, according to Bloomberg and his health commissioner, Dr. Thomas Frieden. Being overweight raises the risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer and heart disease, which is New York City’s worst killer.

How much do we understand about nutrition?

Eating food is our most intimate contact with our environment. It is a very intimate contact with our bodies. We eat every day pounds of food, putting food inside our bodies and turning it into us. This is an amazing process that changes our bodies and our health. But really how much do we know about this process? How much attention do we really put into what goes into our bodies? And how much do we understand about what we eat? How much do we understand about nutrition and the dramatic impact nutrition has on our current health and our body shape?

What Are You Procrastinating?

What are you procrastinating in this year? To lose weight? To start working out? To eat healthy? Millions excuses? So many people are telling me Joe I wish I had more time to start dieting and exercising. I always answer them back: If you don't take time for being healthy and take care about yourself, you'll eventually have to make time for being sick.

New Year 2006 is here and it is a great opportunity for a change. A change for a better.
Procrastination seriously drains our energy and our morale. What remains undone nags at us. And what you do not know can hurt you.
So let's make a decision for this year to make it a year of FITNESS. This is the year of the NEW YOU. You can do it!
Seriously if you think that you can not do it, have no time, or are you not motivated, I am here to help. Contact me and in less that 10 minutes I will show you how to do it. I have helped so many people in past few years and this year I intend to continue my mission.

Happy New Year

Strive to be so strong in New Year that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To be too wise for worry, too tolerant for hate, and too courageous to be fearful. In
short, to be happy in 2006.
